A highly experienced expert in strategic communications, Minako has a proven track record in M&amp;A and PMI communications, crisis communications, strategic messaging, reputation management, profile raising, media relations, and employee communications. She also leads the Finsbury media training practice bringing an extensive track record of training for corporate executives in Japan. 
Before joining Finsbury in 2019, Minako served as Head of Marketing &amp; Communications at J.P. Morgan in Japan where she managed overall communications activities for both internal and external stakeholders in the areas of media relations, issues management, thought leadership, employee engagement in CSR, diversity &amp; inclusion and talent acquisition. She was previously a partner at Kreab Gavin Anderson where she led the financial communications practice and advised on numerous M&amp;A and capital markets deals. She also managed a number of corporate reputation and issues management situations. 
Earlier Minako worked at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, initially in equity research, later moving to investment banking where she covered general industry as well as investor communications. This followed a position at the Embassy of Switzerland in Tokyo covering Industrial and Scientific Affairs. She started her career as Japanese equity researcher at Jardine Fleming and Morgan Stanley. She passed the US CPA exam in 1999. She graduated from Tsuda University with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations. Currently, she is an adviser to “Social Investment Partners” which advises Japan’s first venture philanthropy fund and “Music Dialogue” which develops young musicians and educates audiences through chamber music.
