Melissa Childs

Melissa Childs is a Managing Director in the Strategic Communications Division at FGS Global. Melissa specializes in developing and executing communications strategies in the midst – and aftermath – of crises with an eye toward long-term reputation management.

Prior to joining the firm, Melissa spent nearly a decade working at the Federal Bureau of Investigation. While there, she served as the Head of Communications and Global Engagement for national security issues. Her experience includes executing crisis communications in the aftermath of terrorist attacks, writing speeches and talking points for the Bureau’s top officials, and coordinating complex communications strategies in furtherance of legislative priorities.

Melissa graduated from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism with a Bachelor’s Degree and Northeastern University with a Master’s Degree in Corporate and Organizational Communications.
