As a Director in FGS Global’s Strategic Communications division, MacKenzie Smith works across multiple practice areas, including the Crisis and International Affairs teams. She helps a wide range of clients navigate complex reputational, regulatory and legislative issues to achieve their public affairs goals.
Prior to joining FGS Global, MacKenzie paged in the Senate, interned on the House Committee on Natural Resources under then-Congressman Ed Markey (D-MA), served as a campaign finance intern on Congressman Joe Kennedy III’s (D-MA) inaugural campaign and volunteered for both Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights and the Marina Orth Foundation, which is based in Medellín, Colombia.
MacKenzie received her BA in Foreign Affairs at the University of Virginia and is a member of the Benefactors Society for the University’s College of Arts and Sciences. A D.C. native, MacKenzie is an avid Caps fan, plays golf and competed on the international show jumping circuit for 15 years.
