Life at FGS Global

Katie works in the Strategic Communication Division in New York. She provides C-suite strategy, media counsel, and develops strategies for crisis and reputation management.

Life Pre-FGS Global

At Burson, Katie supported clients including Ford and Accenture. Before that, she advised Home and Health Secretaries in Government. Katie began her career in journalism.

Life Beyond FGS Global

Katie has (un)healthy addictions to Soul Cycle, news and politics. She’s also a huge karaoke fan, with a penchant for Blondie’s back-catalogue.

Katie Myler is a Partner in the Strategic Communications Division and is based in FGS Global’s NY office. She specializes in executive and crisis communications.

Before joining FGS Global, Katie held leadership positions at Burson-Marsteller working with clients including Ford Motor Company, Accenture and Nestle Water.

Prior to that, Katie worked in the British Government as a Special Advisor to the Home Secretary, and the Secretary of State for Health. At the Home Office, Katie shaped communications across a range of high-profile and agenda-setting topics including counter-terror, immigration, law and order and MI5. It was a role that often meant contentious frontline news management with the national and political press corps. Happily, friendships survived intact. At the Department of Health, she oversaw all communications from the department and managed media fallout from the human tragedies that can occur within the NHS, as well as playing a key role in budget negotiations with Number 10 and Her Majesty’s Treasury — where the real politics came into play.

Katie began her career in TV as a runner on a daily news and current affairs show. She worked her way up to News Editor, with a stint in the U.S. as North America bureau chief. Katie hails from London, the daughter of a Fleet Street editor and currently lives in Manhattan.
