Julie Gouss is a Director in the Strategic Communications Division at Finsbury Glover Hering. She leads the firm’s events team, specializing in event-based communications, message strategy and brand positioning through in-person and virtual events. Julie also supports and executes integrated communications strategies and tactics on behalf of clients.

Prior to joining Finsbury Glover Hering, Julie served as Director of External Affairs at Halifax International Security Forum, where she managed external relations, signature programming and events in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Washington, D.C. and London. In addition to her time at Halifax International Security Forum, Julie was an Event Manager at Chris Wayne & Associates (CWA), directing large-scale events for a diverse client portfolio including The Wall Street Journal, the Peter G. Peterson Foundation, the Recording Industry Association of America and the Center for American Progress. Previously, Julie also served as the Director of Development for Securing America’s Future Energy (SAFE) and a Legislative Assistant for Congressman John J. Hall.

Julie received her BA in International Relations from The George Washington University. A native of New York’s Hudson Valley, Julie lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and their dog.
