A Partner in FGS Global’s Strategic Communications Division, Jonathan Kopp specializes in integrated communications programs and issue management in the firm’s New York office.

Prior to joining FGS Global, Jonathan was a Partner at Ketchum and the Global Director of Ketchum Digital. Jonathan also spent time at SS+K as a Partner, where he was on the Obama ‘08 National Media Team.

Prior to SS+K, Jonathan practiced law in the Washington, D.C. office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher. Before that, he served as Law Clerk to the Counsel to the President in the Clinton White House, focusing on government ethics, presidential appointments, and aspects of international law for the Legal Counsel to the National Security Advisor. Jonathan served on the Executive Orders Working Group of the 1992 Presidential Transition Team and the Clinton ’92 Opposition Research & Rapid Response (“War Room”) Team.

Jonathan is an elected member of the Brooklyn Democratic County Committee, Chair of J Street NY and a member of the Genesis Prize Foundation Advisory Board. He has previously served on the J Street Board of Directors, the Brooklyn Heights Synagogue Board of Trustees, the Emory College Alumni Board, and the aids2031 Advisory Board.

Jonathan holds a BA, with honors, in International Studies from Emory University and a JD, with honors, from The George Washington University Law School.

Jonathan lives in Brooklyn with his wife and daughters. He is co-creator of the Mind of State podcast and book, and is an avid cyclist.
