Gregg Rothschild

Life at FGS Global

Designs and executes strategies to advance client interests in connection with legislation, agency proceedings, commercial negotiations and litigation.

Life Pre-FGS Global

Loved being a counsel on Capitol Hill, not so much as a practicing lawyer. Will always miss his time as an organizer on Democratic campaigns.

Life Beyond FGS Global

Enjoys travel, live music, skiing, tennis, golf, his incredible family, and, whenever possible, being lakeside in Maine.

Gregg Rothschild is a Partner at FGS Global and co-leads the firm’s Global Technology and Media Practice. At FGS, Gregg leverages his 30 years of political and policy experience on behalf of a broad range of well-known technology and media brands. He designs and executes strategies to advance client interests in connection with legislation, agency proceedings, commercial negotiations and litigation. He also has managed a number of coalitions in connection with several merger reviews.

Before joining the firm, Gregg was the Chief Counsel and Deputy Chief of Staff to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce under then-Chairman John Dingell. He also worked in the Senate as the Legislative Director and Counsel to Senator John F. Kerry, managing the Senator’s legislative staff and acting as the chief advisor to the Senator on the full range of domestic issues.

Gregg also spent time at Verizon Communications where he was Vice President and Policy Counsel, and, long ago, was a practicing attorney representing primarily technology and media companies. He received his JD from The George Washington University Law School, and his BA from the State University of New York at Albany.

Gregg is an Adjunct Professor within the American University’s Department of Government. He also appears as a commentator on FOX 5’s “On The Hill” and “Monday Morning Quarterback” segments and on C-Span’s “The Communicators.”
