Edward Simpkins

A Partner in Finsbury Glover Hering’s London office, Edward heads our London ECM Practice and has worked on numerous high-profile transactions including cross border M&A and international and UK IPOs and take privates.

He provides board level counsel to some of Europe’s leading corporates on preparing for financial calendar events, communicating strategy and managing media and investor relations as well as on issues arising such as corporate governance, handling crises, the arrival of a new chief executive or dealing with a campaign by activist shareholders.

Edward has counselled many of the largest companies in Italy over the past 15 years and also has a significant experience advising businesses in the luxury goods industry.

Edward joined the firm in 2006 from the Business desk of The Sunday Telegraph newspaper where he was the Companies Editor. A native English speaker, Edward studied philosophy at the University of Liverpool and speaks Italian. He has post graduate qualifications in both Finance and Journalism.
