Julian Geist is a Partner at FGS Global. He manages the Munich office and is Global Co-Lead of the Technology, Communications and Media sector with Gregg Rothschild.

In his consulting career, he has looked after a wide range of global mandates, primarily from the B2C, automotive, high tech, industrial and digital segments.

He works with a strong focus on strategic positioning, growth initiatives and transformation. Julian has an excellent network in the corporate, political, cultural and global media world.

Prior to joining FGS Global in October 2020, Julian was one of the most visible media executives in Europe for over twenty years. Until April 2017, as EVP Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, he oversaw the whole range of stakeholder communications at ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE, guiding the company from private equity ownership to Germany's prime standard DAX. Subsequently, he worked as a partner at another consultancy, with a focus on global mandates.

Julian studied law as well as English literature and philosophy in Germany, France and the UK. His charitable activities currently include serving as Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Patrons and Friends of the Bavarian State Library which, founded in 1558, is one of the world’s great centers of learning and a key digital science hub. He was appointed “Ambassador of Literacy” by Germany's Federal Minister of Education in 2003.
